On-Site Interpreting Services

You may use the Interpreter Request Form whether you are an established customer or a new potential customer. If you are new we will contact you to communicate pricing and availability once we see the details of your submission.

We schedule interpreters who are certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), are highly qualified, and have broad experience in a variety of settings.

If your need is immediate and it is the near the weekend or after regular business hours, please submit the Interpreter Request Form and also alert our coordinating staff by calling 850-296-9478.

Video Remote Interpreting Services
Thanks to high speed internet technology, you can now have your interpreting service delivered at the speed of light! It’s true, there is no substitute for a highly qualified “in person” interpreter. Their service is more clear, versatile, and the most effective option in some situations. However, Video Remote Interpreting may be appropriate when:
• You have no local interpreter available
• Your regular interpreter is out sick or otherwise not available
• The local interpreter is not qualified for the situation
• You prefer not to involve a local interpreter in a very private matter
• The travel costs for interpreters are prohibitive

Preparing to receive Video Remote Interpreting service is not as complicated or expensive as you might imagine. You probably already have internet access. The rest is simple!

Emergency Interpreting Service
Gulf States provides interpreting services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind and can be deployed during all phases of a local or regional disaster. Our qualified, Certified sign language interpreters are trained in National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) as recommended by FEMA. All services provided abides by the standards and recommended practices of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and the National Association of the Deaf.
